Hanging something on your wall is a small act of commitment. You are deciding that this object belongs here, in this room, as part of your everyday life. We want that process to be as straightforward as possible, so every Rahmt product comes with a drilling template designed to make mounting simple and accurate.
Using the drilling template
Place the paper template on the wall in the position you want. Use a spirit level to make sure it sits straight. Mark the hole locations through the template, or drill directly through the paper.
Screws are not included, as wall types vary and the right screw for a concrete wall is different from the right screw for plasterboard. Choose screws and a drill bit suited to your specific wall type. If you are unsure, ask at your local hardware store.
Finding the right position
Before drilling, hold the product up against the wall to get a sense of the placement. Step back and look at it in relation to the room's furniture and lighting. For mirrors, consider the height of the people using it the most.
A long mirror hung vertically works well in a narrow hallway. The same mirror hung horizontally changes the proportions of a room entirely.
For the magnetic steel board, think about whether you want it within easy reach. Next to a desk, in the kitchen, or by the front door are all natural placements where it earns its place on the wall every day.
Mounting the storage mirror
The storage mirror is heavier than the other products. We recommend that two people mount it together. Take your time, and make sure the fixings are secure before letting go.
Made in solid oak, designed to stay
All Rahmt products are made in solid oak. They are not light objects, and they are not meant to be moved around often. Once your mirror, magnetic board, or storage mirror is on the wall, it should feel like it has always been there.
